Presiden Prihatin Terjadinya Insiden Gorontalo

Jakarta, CyberNews. Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono memprihatinkan bentrokan mahasiswa dengan aparat kepolisian dalam demonstrasi di Gorontalo dan meminta semua pihak untuk bersama mengatasianya agar tidak terjadi lagi.

"Tadi malam saya mendapat laporan ada insiden di Gorontalo dan saya memberikan instruksi tengah malam dan tadi pagi juga sudah dilakukan. Yang penting Rektor dan Kapolda bersama-sama memberikan penjelasan kepada publik segamblang-gambangnya," kata Presiden saat membuka rapat dengan Wapres Boediono dan para Menko di Kantor Presiden, Jakarta, Rabu (30/12).

Presiden berharap langkah Kapolda dan Rektor Universitas Negeri Gorontalo memperjelas sebab terjadinya insiden agar tidak berkembang ke arah isu yang tidak benar. "Supaya tidak berkembang isu yang tidak benar dan memastikan bahwa siapa yang salah mendapat sanksi, siapa yang melakukan kekerasan di kedua belah pihak, ini negara hukum, juga mendapatkan sanksi," tegas Presiden.

Presiden meminta polisi menahan diri dan menarik pelajaran dari insiden itu sehingga tidak perlu mengambil tindakan berlebihan. Sebaliknya, Yudhoyono meminta mahasiswa berunjukrasa dalam koridor hukum dan aturan yang ada serta melakukannya dengan tertib.

"Ini harus betul-betul menjadi pelajaran baru dan kemudian ke depan harapan kita, unjuk rasa apapun karena itu diniscayakan dalam demokrasi sebagai ekspresi kebebasan, tapi jangan sampai ada ekses dari kedua-duanya. Kalau itu sudah dilakukan saya berterima kasih," katanya.

Presiden pagi tadi mengadakan rapat dengan Wapres Boediono dan para Menko serta Mensesneg. Juru bicara Kepresidenan Julian Aldrin Pasha mengatakan, rapat itu membahas persiapan rapat kabinet paripurna akhir tahun dengan tujuan meningkatkan pelaksanaan program 100 hari pemerintahan.
